Vision
Empowering youth to make a lasting impact
in their communities.
A Proven Mentoring Pathway
Through our 3 E’s mentoring model, we strive to provide a supportive environment where
youth can regularly evaluate their paths, achieve academic success, and prepare to make
positive contributions to their communities.

Evaluate
At the core of our framework is the
principle of ‘evaluate,’ which involves
identifying the unique strengths and
challenges of prospective mentees. This
process equips IMPACT’s mentors and
coaches to design mentoring programs
and activities that are relevant and effective.

Educate
Education is the foundation to assist
mentees in raising their academic
achievement and personal growth
levels. Mentors and coaches impart
knowledge and skills, incorporate
real-life experiences and provide the
tools to empower and equip our
mentees for lifelong success.

Elevate
IMPACT mentees realize their
accomplishments and are positioned to
elevate their lives; rise above
challenges; unlock their full potential
and become leaders who positively
impact their communities.

Clifford “Cliff” Higgins founded IMPACT: Interactive Mentoring Programs Aimed @ Cultivating Teens in 2023. Mr. Higgins is an accomplished educator who worked 30 years within the field of education in both private and public-school systems. He held various roles and capacities including classroom teacher, Dean of Students, Director of Athletics, Assistant Principal, and Principal.
Cliff holds a master’s degree in Secondary Education and an administrative credential from Loyola Marymount University. Prior to embarking on a career in education, he competed in basketball at the collegiate level earning All-American honors and was drafted by the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1984. Cliff held school team records at his alma mater of California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and was inducted into CSUN’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
As a successful educator and school leader, Mr. Higgins attended and participated in numerous professional development workshops, trainings and conferences facilitated by notable experts in the education industry. Workshops on improving student academic achievement; creating positive school culture and climate; motivating and inspiring students and teachers; multitiered systems of support; and social-emotional learning, were among topics of emphasis. Mr. Higgins’ success as an educator is attributed to his strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills. His accomplishments in the classroom and as a school administrator were attributed to his ability to connect with young people, colleagues and other educational partners by naturally incorporating the “respect factor” in all settings and encounters. In doing so, Cliff modeled integrity and honesty; demonstrated fairness and consistency; and valued the perspectives of others. Cliff’s leadership, approachability, and character along with his ability to foster a welcoming environment have made a significant impact on the school communities he has served.
Cliff has been happily married to his wife, Kathryn, for 38 years. Together, Cliff and Kathryn raised two daughters who excelled both in the classroom and in athletics, each earning full athletic scholarships - one to Boston College and the other to UC Berkeley.

Peer Mentoring That Lasts
Teens don't always seek advice from parents, but they do open up in safe peer groups led by mentors they respect and trust. Our structured mentoring sessions create space for teens to share, learn and practice real-life skills so their growth is visible at home, in school and in their communities.
Upcoming Mentoring Events
Our calendar is filled with peer-focused mentoring sessions—structured group environments where teens learn from mentors and grow alongside supportive peers.
